Some shots I took on Sun.; this blue sti came from bc to do the school on fri/sat like me:
http://www.justinliew.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=92&pos=3

lots of fun sliding and countersteering in my first rallyx, but brutal on suspension and lots of mud/dirt to clean off!

Got 4th out of 15 or so in my class but playing field wasn’t level: some cars got it more slippery if they ran right after the water truck sprinkled the course to reduce dust clouds (once before and once during the heat)

Neat/different tallying from autox: lap times accumulate (3 run standard but we did 5 (~75 sec) runs and threw out the worst one)

I couldn’t believe that 2 guys ran their new 06 sti (new nose) and new evo 8 rs; and both were white (well not for long)!

dsm wise, there was a red 1g (maybe same one in merritt mtn trials) and a stock green 95 talon awd (guy said "nice car!" when he saw me)

Next I hope to find a navigator for the bc totem on/offroad tsd rally in nov

So where was this?  Definitely something along with the ice rallying I'd like to do.  What tires were you running?

You're spoiled by your R compounds on the pavement anyways it was time for the handicap

You still did really well though from the results.

I participated in something similar last year, out in Squamish.

Definitely a great time , but also very hard on my car.

The result for me was a dented oil pan and 2 broken front axels. :)

I came 5th overall at the time, and that was driving scared.

You really need to either accept the sounds coming from your undercarriage and go balls out, or completely pussy it around the course.
