Pulled on a 95' Z28 w/ I/E
« on: May 30, 2008, 04:17:31 pm »
One of the first times racing the talon.  The Camero had intake/headers/exhuast.  It was very close but the Budget talon probably pulled 1 car length from 100 km/h to 230 km/h. (on a closed course ;) )  This was from a roll starting at 80-100km/h.  We did several pulls and everytime the tsi barely pulled on him.  A win never the less.  Running 15- 16 PSI on the talon.  He didn't look very happy when I told him I had $1400 into my talon (including price of car), lol.

If i went from the dig the talon would have pulled a AWD launch and left the Z28 in the dust lol.

if a 7MGTE turbo Supra lost to an all motor 2.2(either one) Jbody, something was wrong with it, no matter if you had a header, cam etc.  If you had a built 2.4, with lots of bolt ons, its gonna be closer, but even then, a stock Supra made over 200 hp and more than that in torque.  Plus they like mods nearly as much as DSM's.  Not taking anything away from your J, but those cars are decent even bone stock.

1jz i'm assuming he means the rare (never sold here) twin turbo mark III supras. Think they only made those in 91? I've seen a few around these days, lots of guys import them now.
They're like expensive pokemon... gotta catch 'em all.

yes, remi has it.. it was an import (JZA70), was a 1jz-gte single turbo conversion.
on a side note.. kelowna got its "first" 93 supra recently, thing sounds sooo mean, can hear the turbo spool up through the exhaust like the big diesel's.
nothing sounds better then a 2jz on the boost  ;)

I love those body-styles they are quite a decent piece of metal, Apparently its not uncommon for them to pump out 1000 Hp(flywheel) so thats pretty respectful. I would say

And Brett props on the race to Firechicken or camaro!
