got in three passes at mission last night.

the first pass was a 12.88 with a few issues like hitting the rev limiter on every gear. I had to lift the throttle so the trans would shift for both shift points. there is a conflict between the rev limit on either the MSD box or the ECU and the trans computer that is wanting to shift at 7500. that is on a custom eprom setting for the "power" mode in the TCU.

for the second pass I put the TCU into "economy" mode, which is the stock power mode, and it did much better. 11.89 @ 113 Mph

I was getting a lot of knock for those passes so I turned the boost down a couple of pounds for the last pass which was a 11.975 @ 114.

60' times were 1.7's

Good times nonetheless.
How different was your tune, if any, from the dyno session? Were you seeing knock there as well?

nice job Marke!!  Big difference from the 16s a couple of years back eh?

What exactly were your 60' times?  Big difference from 1.70-1.79  ;)  The auto should be great for that.

the tune was no different, just some added load on the car I think.

first run was 1.86, the second run was a 1.748, and the third a 1.765

this was done on my H rated all seasons tires and stock suspension. I think with a good set of sticky tires I can get the 60' down to 1.6x. I was breaking loose a tiny bit out of the hole when brake boosting. highest launch psi was ~17.

hehehe, yea thats where your car shines.  I leave the line at 5psi at best  :)

my best ever 60' time was my 11.93 run, with a 1.78 second short time.

H rated tires actually have a softer sidewall than a V or Z or W rated tire.  They don't have to be rated to handle the same sidewall loading as a higher speed rated tire.  Crappier for handling but better for draggin.

The other thing about your tires is that they are fairly new and have decently soft rubber compouds. As rubber ages, the polymers become cross linked and get harder.  Yours were(at least when I mounted em up) were quite soft still.  Decent for all season used tires for sure.

that was Yan's car he raced in his 11.8 pass, im not sure what happend on that run.... i think it might have been a missed 3rd gear... there also seemed to be some backfiring issues with it on the next run..

MArks car hauled ass!! so smooth too!  Definalty putting down good numbers for that "small turbo" setup he is running!!

Congrats Marke!!  This might put you as the fastest automatic DSM in british columbia???

I think the other fastest was when mitch ran a 11.9 i think in his old 1ga automatic 16G car.

Im not sure... but i seem to remember his going 11.9 like 4 or 3 years ago when he had the auto in his black car and a evo III 16G.  No meth..stock longblock...

maybe it was in the 12's.,,,  but im pretty sure it was in the 11.9's.  This was also at ashcroft as well so it was at high elevation.

check out my reaction times... hahahhahahah

they were sooo fast on the lights it was stupid. I got staged, put it in neutral to power the brakes and the lights started. So I had to put in drive and start torquing it up for like 4 seconds before I could leave the gate.
