I will be keeping my current turbo now as the goal for this car is to be the quickest in Canada for a 16g. The current record is in the 11.2's for a car on race gas and slicks. I hope to match that without those add-on's and maintain full weight.

I found some old time slips of when I first started working with this car. Shows the progression from stock to slightly modded to where it was 6 months ago.

Stock.

modded with a 14b, 450's, safc, fuel pump + regulator, 2g maf, MT cams, MT ECU, and a bad tune. (best of 15.4)

A few months ago. (too much to list)

its been an interesting 4 years. looking forward to this season and some good competition.

well technically Markes turbo is a 20G/16G bastard turbo.  Its a machined out 16G housing with a 20G wheel stuffed into it.  But, from the outside it still looks like a stock turbo and you cannot tell the difference between it and a 14b.

If I had a 20g hotside it might be in a different class, but the turbine will only flow so much. there are lots of posts out there on this turbo not making any more power than a regular evo 3-16g. maybe 2 lbs a min more flow, but thats it.

When this turbo was on Marty's car he had an EGT probe and it let go and damaged the exhaust wheel.   I got a new TD05 turbine wheel coming from a guy on tuners for 55 bux. brand new and balanced. retail is over 200.  :o

2lbs/min is 20hp isn't it?

and is that turbine wheel an Evo 16g turbine wheel?  They are better than regular ones, better metal, better design and lighter.

update.

went a new best of 11.72 @ 118 tonight. best 60' was 1.765

on a side note, the track peeps were getting cranky cause I have to sit there and build boost. I was taking too long for their liking. r/t were over 5 sec.  >:(

can't really. they only let you in the lanes at a certain time. then they drop the lights right away.

the car was doing something weird when it was building boost. it would go up to 5 psi right away then hover there for a few seconds, then slowly build up to 10, then go to full boost like normal.
