Went and watched the local auto-x tonight. Definitely makes me want to take my car out! :)

Richard, who ended up being faster tonight? That lingenfelter Vette or Danny's Lotus?

I didn't check the board myself but overheard that Shane's blue c4 was quickest.  I'd like to know what Lingenfelter parts that car has on it.  Doesn't seem like the suspension was very stiff or low on it.  But Shane can drive on the edge without fear.

Yea u was talking with someone. Wearing red and black shirt with a pass hanging around his kneck and he was saying that blue vette driver was going to push it hard and made us move from where we were sitting cuz Danny and his Lotus was .5 seconds faster.

We ended up leaving half way through though

Norm was who talked to you.  I guess Shane got him after that.  Norm took me for a spin in his silver c6 convertible last year on the same layout.  Wow!!!  I knew it would accelerate hard but the cornering and braking g's were mind blowing.. :o :o  His car is stock except for R compound tires.  I want a dsm that can do that so bad  :'(   How about it John H and others?  Can a dsm be made to match the braking and handling of a stock C6 Vette?

So last night was the first Friday Night event at Prince George Motorsports Park.  The new ownership did a good job.  The owner spent the night on the bbq since his concession van cancelled on him.  $4 bucks for big patty, 4 long strips of bacon and mushrooms and all the fixens. $5 gate fee per spectator, $25 to race.  I volunteered in the Time Slip shack and got in for free and 2 free burgers, mmmm.  Some highlights were:
Highest top speed- Hayabusa  131 mph, 11.1's, he couldn't produce a sub 2.0 60 foot time.
Highest dollar: $120,000 in reciepts '56 Chevy 2 dr, metal flake orange w/white roof, show quality, 2 spd glide, nasty idle and high stall, low 13-high 12 et's, 20 or more passes, ssuuuhhhwwweeeeett!
Fastest 4cyl: Joel's red CRX with Dart Machinery B20 block and Turbonetics GT-K650 - 12.2's @ 118mph
Fastest et: George Perfitt's '67 Mustang fastback with Ford 427, smelled like race fuel 8) - 10.54 et
Fastest friend: Brian's '57 Chev Sedan Delivery, gutted interior, primer red, 427bb, tubo400, 4000 stall -12.3 @ 113 mph
Fastest Fox body stang late 80's, running a 60mm turbo - 12.2 with a 1.68 60 foot time
Attaboy: '85 Yamaha XS11 - 12.95 with 1.98 60 foot, took alot of passes for him to get in a 12, mostly low 13's, bit of a beater, barely idles, but hey he's havin fun on a budget
Fancy Car being driven hard: New Lexus IS-F  - 13.7 @ 105 mph , 2.4 60'
Only breakdown: New Chev Duramax doing 4 wheel drive launch broke tie rod and couldn't steer  ;D too much torque for stock hardware I guess.
I'll post more if I remember, 40 cars, trucks and bikes ran.

Yes, that's George Perfitt that I mentioned above, owner of Parkhill.  I don't know my years very well but I looked for a picture that matched for a bit on the net to try and narrow it down, that's why I settled on 1967.  I was handing out the slips, he did some low/mid 11's too, maybe 2 10.5's and 2 11.2-11.7's.  He's got the suspension set nice on it too, just hunkers down and goes straight and hooks with no wheelies, spinning or drifting toward a wall.

My workmate, Serge (blue SRT 4) knows Levi well, says he's got 60 thou into that Civic coupe (Whaaattt!?) Joel's red CRX is it's equal and he's been at that level for 3 years and drives it out from Vanderhoof.  He used to carry spare drive shafts with him and change them out when he broke them at the track  :o

Last year, if memory serves, Levi ran 12.18 @ 122mph.  I think Joel's best I've seen is 12.22 @ 118.  So pretty much a wash.  Not sure what $ Joel has into his car but sure makes dsms look good on bang for buck scale  ::)
