It's not a stock 14.2 FWD.

As you can see in my sig there's some mods and that.

That time came after the 272 cams and evo springs retainers

John I was just clarifying in reference to that, that my car is not stock.

That was also with full stereo. Off the line does need a lil practice. My 14.2 run was

.942 reaction. Needs work!
2.359 60 foot
14.2 et at 101.8 mph

That run I spun hitting 2nd gear and had to let off for just a split second and jump back on.

thats good MPH Mike, especially if you have a heavy stereo/sub/amps etc in the back.

reaction time has nothing to do with it on a Pro Tree, so don't worry about that for now.

If you can get that 60' time down to 2.0-2.1 you will easily be in the 13's

1/10th of a second in the 60' is equal to 2/10ths in the 1/4 mile.  It really pays to be able to launch it.  And weight in the rear of a fwd car is not helping either.

Thought I'd post these 3 races at the track tonight...
First time out this year and thought I could run better than my 14.2 last year with the same worn out clutch...And... It was about the same, but better on the final pass.

In this run, I set my boost to 11psi for the launch and switched half way down the track to 16psi.  Also set my stutter to 3200rpm hoping the clutch would grab better than 4000 last year.
But it wouldn't matter, 'cause at both boost levels I developed a new problem, major turbo creep...It soared to 26psi :o
Also, I got the red light since my car inched forward on me and triggered the timer before I got the green...and so I ran on the red...bad time of over 17sec.

Next run with the same truck, I changed stutter back to 4000, had a better experience with the tree, but still had to fight my gas pedal to keep the boost down...not fun!  Time slip wasn't available for this one but it had to be ugly too...you can hear my clutch slip bad this time by the sound of the rpm.  But most of my runs that night were around the 14.2 again.

Last run of the night, same truck again, decided to launch at 16psi, and eyeballed that boost gauge all the way down the track, keeping it around 18 - 20 with my throttle between 70% & 85%  lol...clutch was still an issue in the first couple gears but car felt strong.
I1 -60ft - 1.923
I2 -5.832
I3 - 9.022 (79.225mph)
I4 - 11.719
E.T. - 13.961 @ 101.753

Not sure what I2 & I4 indicate...anyway, here's the video...finally beat that guy lol.

Way to go Ed!  Especially for sticking with it knowing your car is not perfect... yet.  1.92 60 foot is great for a fried clutch.  Lots of potential fo sho!  Boost creep, eh?  You've got a 3" o2 housing too...  ???

The o2 housing is a ss ebay special and fits the megan dp perfectly...In fact, I use to run 16psi @ 100% throttle all day with it before my new fmic/piping.
I'll check it out today, make sure it isn't something like a pinched wg or boost control hose.

Just an update...
Turned out that the boost controler hose blew wide open just before the j-pipe fitting.  Not sure how it was missed after checking everything twice that night.
My punishment for using an aftermarket vacuum/boost hose because it was red :-[ .  Switching back to the oem hoses and testing the car.  If there is little to no boost creep, I might try it again this Friday.
