My antenna motor died, so I decided to replace my antenna with a cooler looking antenna.
I left the old motor and antenna in (no use taking it out and going through the trouble of welding or covering the antenna hole).
Then installed this internal antenna which I bought from this site.

AM signals become lower in quality (static interference) when its enclosed inside the back trunk (unless you have it up on a higher area or outside of the car). I guess I just have to live with a lower quality AM signal compared to before, when the AM signals can be picked up from the outside without any internal interference.
