Well, these guys have great prices and are very freindly.
However, I cannot reccomend them. In fact I recommend you do not buy from them.
I went there for a set of wheels for the Mazdaspeed6. I took the car with me. The styles of wheels were great, I really like the wheels. That was never an issue.
However, they sold me a wheel with completely the wrong offset. The factory car uses a 50mm offset. many people use 48-45mm offsets on the Speed6. They sold me 35mm offset wheels. These don't work on a Mazdaspeed6. They rub on the fender fairly badly. In fact its slightly chewing up my expensive Dunlop StarSpec tires. And slighly ruining the paint on my fender lip. And this is after I gently rolled the lip. I cannot drive the car even sort of aggressively, nor can I hit speed bumps, train tracks etc. Its better after the fender roll, but still not acceptible.
Now, you say, "well, why did you buy them?" I know, thing is, I trusted the wheel professionals, as I, like most people buying wheels, didn't know what offset I needed. Hell, alot of people have never heard of offsets, let alone what they mean and how they effect peoples cars. I was new to the Mazdaspeed at the time and didnt know what I needed.
I had a feeling it wasn't right so I asked them before they went to thier warehouse(in Surrey, 1 hr round trip) to get them. Carmen was there, and there were 2 staff, the owner and his lead salesman. I said "I think that offset is wrong, I think it is going to stick out too far." I had nothing to base this on, just gut instinct as I had not done any research yet.
They told me politely but firmly that this was completely correct and would fit perfectly. They showed me pics of some guys car that they just put them on. It was clearly a Mazda3, not a 6, and the Mazdaspeed logo was clearly put on afterwards, it was a base model Mazda3, NOT a Speed3.
So we spend some time at a mall, while they pick up the wheels. When we go to pick them up, I ask again, more firmly this time if they are the right offset as I still think its wrong. They tell me its all good and not to worry about it. I am uncertain, but they are, and they are a professional wheel shop.
When I get them back to my shop, I put one on, and its obvious its not right. I phone them, and I get NOTHING but runarounds, bs and no help at all. You should have heard some of the calls, they were rediculous.
They keep telling me its right, that thier supplier says its right, that the dealer says its right and , get this, its my fault for choosing those ones. They go days without answering my calls or emails. They do nothing but blame me for it. I get alot of "I hear ya bro, but what can I do about it?" kinda crap.
A couple of weeks later, I get a call, and they will take them back but for a 45% restocking fee!!!!! Yea, right...They have offered me a deal on another set of wheels, but its WAY too late as I need the car and had to buy other wheels already. This has gone on for a month.
just thought I would let you all know what happened, and maybe keep another BCDSM member from having so much trouble. And I have access to a tire machine so I can mount and balance for free. Someone else would have to pay for that twice.
