I think welding the center diff in a dsm is the drag race mod of choice for traction.  Probably hampers parking performance though ;D
It shouldn't be too hard to find a lsd 4 bolt rear end/diff...  and install one of these http://www.roadraceengineering.com/quaife.htm

Hey now, I have coilovers, strut bars, swaybars, bushings, and a lower strut bar, now I am working on the 500.  ;D That way I can drop em on the straight or in the corners, my choice. :D

Lyle, I had my center locked for awhile, it sucked.  Basically thr usual, quaife, wavetrac, and a couple of others, but it depends what kind of engagement you are looking for. I haven't found a cheap one yet though.
I was thinking four spider, maybe quaife?

4spider should be a must IMO if you aiming for the 500 club. The stock 2spider gears commonly brake in the centre diff if you're launching it often. Quaif or wave front LSD's are nice units

Research it more and compare it to how you want it to act or feel

I have welded diff....I think its okay outside of Vancouver Centre..
Parallel parking sucks....
Pushing the car is really difficult..
Don't need an parking brake...just crank your wheels and the car cannot be moved.
