Xtreme Fabrications/Performance Services AND Maperformance.
« on: October 21, 2012, 10:20:27 am »
Im wondering if anyone on here has ordered from their website.   Im interested in buying a T3 ss manifold from them.
Its the nicest manifold Ive seen, that is similar to my current setup.

Not familiar with them. Would be nice if the first runner had a more gradual bend.

Have you already considered the Punishment Racing mani?  The same price, established brand, lifetime warranty, etc.  http://www.punishment-racing.com/punishment-racing-t3-t4-turbo-manifold-for-eclipse-talon/

Ive looked at that too.  :)   Its a toss up between the two.    Im also close to just buying the maperformance one too.  Considering I can get it even cheaper.  What would you go with rob?     I think the maperformance one is nice enough for me. Like you said, the runners could be a bit more gradual on the Xtreme fab one.

Yea, its definitely nice.   Talked to Tariq about this one and Maperformance doesnt have any made currently. Im hoping for a decent turn around time no matter what route I go.
The Map one initially had my interest. Its the most similar to my current T3 tubular kinetic manifold.
The one thing I like most about the Map one,  is all the runners use identical pieces in slightly different configurations making each runner, very similar to one another.

Either one should do the trick.  I am a sucker for a symmetrical merge collector though.  :)
Let us know how long it'll take to get one.

Yea the collector is pretty cool.  I want equal length runners and minimal bends.  Seems like the Map manifold has it all.
Ill most likely place the order tomorrow.  Ill post up how long it takes.

Lol.  Dan,  the manifold is turbulent.  Its a nice piece, but its not ideal.   You shouldnt have different length runners, especially short runners.  The fact being that longer runners allow for more than one exhaust pulse to be travelling down the pipe at a time and evenly distribute it into the collector.  The runners are so short that it creates turbulence amoung all 4 runners. They backpressure due to the last runner that pulsed is now distributing its exhaust gases back through a runner that is empty for that split second.  the stock manifold and FP manifold have the runners too short!

Looks really cool tho!   :)
