its not the 30+ psi of boost that breaks the manifolds.  its the backfires when you have a meth or NOS system turning the manifold into a "wet" manifold.  And when a backfire happens... and  the meth/NOS explodes inside the intake mani... it creates a hell of a lot more then 30-40 psi.
