headlights help
« on: September 23, 2009, 11:07:16 pm »
i'm trying to install my headlights and i find out it's missing something.. the part where the bolt screws in.. as shown in the pic below..

the white one is from a talon that doesnt fit my eclipse due to shape.. the black is what i'm trying to put on my car.. now i'm wondering how can i take that off the white on so i can put it on the black one so that i can install it to my car?

I dunno dawg, I wouldn't really be too worried about it tho...actually I lied, I DO KNOW! LOL

All you need is the screws on top...fuck the rest of them, yeah I'm serious. (by the "top" I mean when you standing over the bay, looking down at it)
I've had only my top ones in for about 5 years now, it's all good.

Oh, I lied...the other ones by the signal lights...these two together should suffice enough!

yeah i was thinking that but if i can get at least the top part of this rear one, i'd feel 'safer' lol.. so it just rests pretty much on top of ur bumper ryan?

i dont think there's another one by the signal lights.. there're those 2 that i circled, one on top and another at the bottom that screws to the frame i think.. which is hella hard to get into.

Are you holding the light upside down in the bottom picture?

So you're missing the threaded piece from inside the hole right? That's gonna be tricky.

When I did mine, all of the holes never lined up either...I don't have my car with me today, but I'll snap a shot of which hole I used tomorrow and post it here.

nope, it's not upside down.. you can see at the bottom where the plug goes in.

yeah i'm missing it.. it must've been removed somehow, i pm'd the guy gave me these as a trade for my projectors and hopefully he can shed some light on this prob.

that'd be great ryan if you can show me how u did urs and maybe i can do the same myself.
