Any idea why there is that peak in power and then sudden drop-off?

Someone that doesn't work @ RG didn't tighten the oil filter...  I won't mention any names.

Daily driving, 525whp.  Keep in mind that my blue car on about 450whp trapped 133.9mph.

Didn't leak for the first bunch of dyno runs.
I have always tighten my filter by hand.....maybe the 5w30 synthetic oil made it loose..
Everything seems to be blowing off the engine these days.

My filter did that once, and as a result I had a small engine fire.

Not something I want to do again

yes, typo on my part, basic stuff, sorry.

Very nicely done Lowell and Dan!!

And if Lowells blue car trapped mid 130mph, Dans gonna get tossed off the track and for good reason!  Not sure when they make you run a 'chute, but that thing might need one.

Or at LEAST hugeass brakes!!

hahah I love how the thread is titled 'initial dyno results'...
so...you going back for more power now or what?
;)

My filter came loose once - stupid centre nut thing backed out.
Another time I had the filter o-ring get stuck from the old filter and managed to double it up by mistake. 5 litres of synth was an expensive crankcase flush.

One of the coil packs has to be exchange.....The COP might get a second chance to work...
3 inch exhaust probably should go....
A 75mm TB is recommended ....
.
Bigger cams .....currently have 15 in hg at idle..(but I don't want a BC280 like idle.either)
A expansion tank is required for the cooling system.....Oil catch can for the track....
Clutch is still having issues disengaging.
700 HP is within reach maybe early next year...

Have lots of left over parts for the stock Laser RS now..

That scares me!

I'd be afraid to wind out 1st gear in the city. Knowing that a stop is coming right after lol
