Hi all
Methinks it's time for another one. Here's what I had in mind:
November 27.

At 11:00am on the 27th, Meet at Tim Hortons. Take a ~2.5 hour tour through Shawnigan and Cowichan, then back to either Duncan, Cowichan Bay, or Cobble Hill for a bite to eat.
The Tim's is at 739 McCallum Rd, it's the same lot as Future Shop. We can meet with any up-island members at the start of Shawnigan Lake Road if they'd prefer not to come down the Malahat.

if there is snow ( 6 inches or more) i wont be coming out lol.. bald rear tires and my front lip is like 2 inches off the ground, id just be a snow plow.

Okay, Tim's it is. Parking can be a little tight around there on the weekends, but I'm sure we'll find a few spots.
We have a tenative route, plus a few good options to stop at a pub or restaurant on the way back down. It's about 150km from start to finish, and a solid couple hours if not a bit more.
So that's it... 11:00 on the 27th, Meet at Tim Hortons (739 McCallum Rd, same lot as Future Shop). Tour through Shawnigan and Cowichan, then back to either Duncan, Cowichan Bay, or Cobble Hill for a bite to eat.
If you're planning on attending, please make a post! I'd like to get a rough number of people/cars.

If the Van Isle members don't mind a mainlander tagging along (in a 2G), then I'll see you all at 739 McCallum Rd., Victoria, BC at 11AM.
I'll have to follow as I have no idea where those tour highlights are located (but I love some of those highway stretches up to Courtenay/Campbell River).

It's a factory colour called "Tropical Lime".
Now if I could only find a cell phone in that colour, hmmm.

I won't be able to attend as I have to mind the shop pretty much during the entire time the cruise would last. :-\
Anyway it's a fun route. Should the roads be clear and safe, there are many past-paced sections and some pretty nifty corners.

Francis, it's very easy to get to the starting point.
Take Admirals out to the highway, head west out of town. Get off at the Langford/Bear Mtn exit heading North. Take your first left on McCallum, and your first left into the first parking lot where Future Shop is.
Maurits, maybe we'll all invade the shop! (And if you've got a charger/wall plug for a Dell Inspiron 6400, I will take it from your hands - I need a second that's not strapped to the wall).

Pleasure driving with Cam, Shane, Dan, Maurits, Simon & Mitch. In a few places, it was an AWD-fest with all that snow ;) Wahoo!!
I just got back from Victoria. Here's a pic of someone lighting up, but because of the smoke, we will never know who it was. It was like the Celebration of Lights fireworks on a still night, you don't see nothing, but there's the noise.

Just Jake's is a pretty nice place. As for the legs on the serving girls at Just Jake's, well let's just state that the Vancouver Earl's Girls had better start working out. The Nachos are fine too!

some reason my car was acting up a bit that day, you can hear it stumbling a little bit a couple times as i fly by , my boost controller is nuts, when the car was tuned it would spike to 20 and settle at 18 psi and pull fine but i played with it a little bit to try and get it to boost up past 20 since we were tryin to get 24 psi and ever since i played with the boost controller it spikes as high as like 22 psi and pops and kicks like it is doing in that video... time for a retune already lol

Hey Cam, thanks for sitting on the side of the road to shoot that video of us. I think I'll have to do something to make my exhaust sound as healthy as Shane and Dan's. I know you're gonna roll your eyes, but here goes ... "I can't wait to see Cam's pictures!"

10-11 hour days with something or other after work for a good chunk of the week with little or no spare time on the weekend due to work/flying/social life/ etc.

Brett, yes, there's a cat to pass Aircare. I also have a 2' long (kind of vaguely remembering) resonator before the muffler to cut down noise. Apparently, this makes me a better Vancouver neighbour.
