Virus Alert - www.bcdsm.org
« on: August 19, 2010, 02:10:17 pm »
Hey All,

If you, or anyone you knows, goes to www.bcdsm.org and gets a virus led redirection to another website, please kill everything and run your anti-virus. It appears that there is a trojan horse currently active, and I can't tell whether it's on the server redirect or on our hosting site (probably the former). So while I update everything, don't get yourself virused.

Yah, my Avast Antivirus caught it... I'm like what happened!?  I double checked the address and retryed and no problem.Whew...  Btw... Avast Home edition is free and better than anything included with TELUS or Shaw.

I use Safari on Win7.
Is that still rawdawg? I don't run a real-time scanner, but do frequent scans otherwise.

Turns out that someone uploaded a file as an attachment to the forum, which contained a virus. Said virus then went and affected every PHP file on the SERVER, not just the forum. Long story short, no more attachments that aren't JPG or GIF's, and the forum is fixed, I think.

I have replaced all of the files that had the modified date of Aug 18, 11:35pm with current versions. Let me know if there are any more issues.
