« on: July 01, 2003, 08:06:10 pm »
Ok i seen the post before but haven't got feedback since. My ICS coil, one of em i believe when i voltmetered it, is out of reading. Thus my idle is 2000 range till warm. That's "wake the neighboors up range" :P  So can it be rebuilt and if so can someone give me info pls. Otherwise i gonna go to the dealers and just grab a new one :(

Re: ISC coils

I don't think you can just "go to the dealer and grab a new one".....

You would have to buy the whole TB assembly..... not cheap.

Anyway, did you do a search?

Or find this?

IAC motors are bolt on parts but they are not cheap.

FIAV is part of the throttle body tho, and cannot be replaced (new anyways, you could always chance it on a used one)  But you can block them off.  http://www.vallotton.com/fiavblockoff.asp

So John, are you saying there is a part # for just the ISC?   I can't find one.............

The whole TB (1G) assembly is MD166235.

What a guy could do is look for a used TB assembly from ebay, ubbs, wreckers, etc......

yea I don't know the part number off hand but you can search for the Hyundai(made by Mitsu, even has the logo cast into it) over at DSM.CA  That is where I originally got it.  I had BAD idle surge when I bought my car.  Hold on, lemme look in my shoebox - o - receipts...  HAHA, found it!!

they are called a "servo kit" hehe, and they list for $240.42, but I get a discount as I work at a large dealership, and so I got it for $204.70

Holy crap.

Hyundai, eh?   Maybe their parts breakup is different.....  But it still may not be readily available as a Mitsu part.  But maybe someone can find it.

As for that price, I recently bought (through ca.dsm.org) a complete spare TB with TPS, IPS, and ISC all for $50.   Beats trying to fix it.

Yea lots (make that LOTS) of cars use Mitsu ISC motors.  I've seen them in all the Suzuki things(like Geos, Trackers and other crap like that) Hyundais and others.

As for the used stuff, yea thats a great deal, hope it works for a few years anyway.
