Save your $ and start building a sick bottom end. Then worry about mo powa.
No need to start a make work project. The 16g should be good for awhile still.
I agree though if your tired of the 16g allready your gonna be sick of another "smaller" turbo in no time flat.
How many k on your 7bolt?

50k on rebuild :)

its not really that i'm sick of the 16g, its that the housing is getting really old/beat to shit, its been retapped multiple times.. and if i'm going to replace may as well upgrade it a notch, i'm perfectly happy with the power level of my car to be honest.. combine that with the fact that there isn't much price difference to upgrade my turbo with the redick prices of the e316g/hta 68 turbos atm.

wouldn't mind moving the boost curve up a bit, for daily driving i'm getting tired of the oops i'm in boost already thing.

i mean i've torn everything else that the previous owner installed out, may as well completely exorcise all the demons and garbage his turbo as well :p

Having used the HTA68 on a colt build of my buddy, i will recommend that turbo.   It spools like stock, and hits HARD .. Only thing is it really doesnt start to come alive till 26 or 28 psi of boost and is just NUTS at 30+32 psi, and  at that boost, your pushing your stock bottom end pretty hard, and spraying a shit load of meth to keep things cooled down and knock free on pump gas.  But it sure is nice having a turbo that you can rip around the city and have fun like you would with a 14/16g turbo..
I like Colts.  Turbo Colts.

I'm with Matt on this one.

After driving a car that has little to no turbo lag every day, and then driving my Talon, I really have to say I like the no lag.

If I could find a turbo that spooled as good or close to the Mazdaspeed setup(and its nearly stock still), but would make 400-425 to the wheels, and I could afford it I would switch in a heartbeat.

I dd'ed my car for 7 months with 501 awhp. The one before 320 for over a year everyday. This one has been stuck in the shop. Magnus is very slow on parts a lot of one of a kind kinda stuff. This long block is one of tge best long blocks ever made I'd say.

But who am I to know. I only made the build happen right?
