Installing B2K Logger.
« on: October 09, 2003, 08:02:33 am »
Does anyone have any directions on how to hook it up, or is it plug into the diag port, I searched ca.dsm.org, dsmtuners.com, and bc.dsm.org with no directions, or does it come with some.  I get mine today or tommorrow!  And you also need a serial cable to correct?

It comes with directions, there is only three wires to connect to your diagnostics port. And yes you will need a serial cable.

no doubt!!, now I have think of a place to hide that little guy, im thinking of a cutout and mounting point on the passenger side of the car on the shifter arm raise center console piece, just where the carpet is.  So my co-pilot (Kristi) can hook everything up and access is easy.

Or you can extend the wires of the serial port and then mount the port in the little tray with the flip up door in front of the shifter. That way its totally out of sight when not in use.

Thats where mine is, I even wired in a switch so it wouldn't mess with my ABS.

if you have the logger cable plugged in, the ABS light comes on.

We have been thinking about putting a switch in the white wire(bottom one),then we can leave it plugged in, and just flip a switch.

Would be better if there was an electronic switch that activated that circuit when data was being transmitted, but oh well, its cheap, and not made by Greedy or HK$ :P
