idle problem with clutch
« on: February 22, 2003, 09:31:01 pm »
i'm not sure, if the motor hasn't been run in a while,
but when i push the clutch out before i stop the idle goes down alot.
below 500 and the car hesitates.
i'm not sure, but i'm thinking its the little screw.
but after i drove it for a while. it wasn't as noticeable
anything wrong with it?

If the car's ECU has been reset it takes a bit for it to realearn a nice idle.

Otherwise I can think of the other following reasons:
- BISS (mis)adjustment
- lightened flywheel
- bad idling cams
- cam timing off
- crankwalk

BISSS and the ISC are probably your first things to look at.  I have a very similar problem.  drops below 500 and hesitates when she's cold.  But that's coz I have my ISC unplugged :D

try backing the bsss out a bit while she's running.

Good luck :)
