Paul Walker tribute Sunday 30 Nov 2014, 9 am to 8 pm
« on: November 01, 2014, 02:04:43 pm »
*** Please see changes below  ***
*** The Pizza Hut meet has morphed into a morning cruise and a fund-raiser.  Door prizes are now only available if a raffle ticket is purchased rather than just freely being handed out (for showing up) as originally stated by the organizer(s).

The other night, a few of us were bouncing around a few ideas about car meets. What do you think of coming out for a Paul Walker tribute? Aria can host this at his place of work. It's a Pizza Hut on Grandview Highway, Vancouver.  He can get the manager to give us all a 20% discount.

The manager can also have an area of the parking lot blocked off for BC DSM club members. Please post if you are interested. He'll talk to his manager and rope off an area for our cars.

Please let him know below how many are down for this as he needs to reserve ASAP. Thank you!

There is also going to be a draw for a $50 gift card from Pizza Hut. :)  And dancing girls & boys too (no, I'm kidding!) :)

P.S. - Don't worry if you have stored your ride for the Winter. Come on out in anything driveable.

P.P.S. - There will likely be other car club members coming out too!

That lot looks pretty small though, I'd say Byrne Road Parking lot would be much better.

I'd rather be indoors, eating pizza and getting a 20% food discount than standing outside @ Byrne Road's parking lot with a Tim Horton's coffee (for heat) on a cold November night. Brrr. :)

I haven't verified it myself, but I understand that cars doing burn-outs have upset the property manager and shop keepers; Byrne Road businesses don't want cars gathering there any more. :(

I understand all that, but their lot at Pizza Hut can only hold like 20 cars. If he's putting the word out to everyone (meaning Revscene) and the other cc's...chances are that we'll all be parking blocks away and then waiting in a huge ass line up for discounted pizza.

The last Paul Walker memorial attracted 400+ cars.

Isnt that why we're doing our own thing?

Not that any of you need swag, but Aria some how got his hands on giftees.  I'm not sure how the prizes are to be given away (raffle tix? draw? best looking & sexiest BC DSMer?).
