« on: January 11, 2015, 11:05:33 am »
Well, This will be the official topic page for FVT 2015.  There will be one more topic that will contain event info, route info and such.

Event date will be July 26th 2015.

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________

So hopefully the rain holds up tomorrow.  At Harrison lake there will be lunch set up for the meet

There will be the option of a Smokie (chedder and honey garlic) or a regular beef hot dog.  There will also be served red potato salad, and watermelon slices.  I will also have a few veggie dogs available for anyone who would like one.

Prices are a ticket, which will buy you the lunch , a serving of salad, and watermelon, and a pop or water.I will have plastic forks/spoons/knifes/paper plates and napkins also available as all condiments (fried onions, ketchup, mustard, relish ) I will also be bringing my BBQ up there, and John Hartman has offered to help with the cooking of the smokies and dogs.  The place where it will be held is the usual place, near the boat launch at Harrison lake.  My wife (Yvonne) will be going up there a bit ahead of time to set up the site, and grab one of the available picnic table area.  I will also try and get a table up there to help serve stuff on as well.

Smokie lunch ticket   $7
Beef Hot dog lunch ticket   $7

extra hot dogs : $1
extra smokie      $2

Tickets can be purchased from me, right before lunch. (at Harrison) Bring cash for payment as I don't have any card payment options or anything.

There will also be a BCDSM raffle and 50/50 draw afterwards up at the hope slide (great place for pictures as well).

The following prizes have been donated.  Thank you very much for the donations!

Lordco Chilliwack prize #1 ($25 gift card and lordco hat)

Lordco Chilliwack prize #2 ($25 gift card, pen and notepad)

Napa Chilliwack prize #3   (Gearwrench passthrough specialty socket set and hat)

OK Tire Chilliwack prize #4 (Gift Package - Free 4 wheel tire balance/rotation, brake inspection, suspension/steering inspection and 4 wheel alignment.  Also a OK Tire hat.

Cost for Raffle tickets will be $5 per ticket ( Draw will be at the Hope Slide portion)
Cost for 50/50 draw will be $2 per ticket  (Draw will be at the Hope Slide portion)

I will also have BCDSM stickers for sale ($5 PER STICKER FOR WHITE, $6 PER STICKER FOR GREY)

I also have only one!!   "NEW DESIGN" BCDSM Hoodie in XXL and gret (non zip up) if anyone is looking for one ($65 for hoodie)

________________________________________________________________________________________

ARRIVE: 9:30
LEAVE:  9:45  (quick stop as possible here)

MISSION CHEVRON:
ARRIVE:10-10:15am
LEAVE :10:30am
This is a good pit stop place. fuel, drinks, coffee, bathroom.
This is also a good alternate meeting location if you can't start at BCIT.

ARRIVE: 11:45-12:15 +/-
LEAVE: 1:45 +/-

TRAVEL TO HOPE SLIDE FINALE:
60 KMS
ALLOWED 1 HOUR
ARRIVE: 2:45
DURATION :1 hour

MEET OVER AT AROUND 3:45... everyone then can make there way back to wherever they came from!!

***THREE PLACES TO PAY ATTENTION***:
1. On the Lougheed Hwy between BCIT and Mission, there is 2 turns (or more) for Dewdney Trunk Rd.
One right after the Pitt River bridge, and, the next one.
DO NOT take the one right after the Pitt River Bridge. Its the next one you want! Its clear
if you have the map (you have printed it out right?)

2. Watch for the interchange from Lougheed Hwy to Hwy 1 after leaving Harrison. We have gone the
wrong way more then once!!

3. Watch for the interchange after travelling through Hope, and getting back on Hwy 1.
The HWY 3 exit sneaks up, and we have missed it and headed to the Coquihala more then once!

For me, the further out it is, the more likely I will have one of my cars done.
But any day is a deadline either way, and not a huge difference from now.
When does the voting poll close?

August 2nd would be the long weekend, would it not?
I'd suggest that attendance would drop like a stone on that weekend, plus lots of traffic and cops on the highways.

26th, I'd suggest.
Objects in mirrors appear to be losing.

Maaaan, if it does end up being on your birthday, I'll bring you a gift bro.

I think this year will be my year that I finally make it out to a FVT. I know I say this every year...but this time, I mean it! haha
For real though, count me in guys. I'm down with whatever route.
