Boost Leak results
« on: June 14, 2006, 10:03:12 pm »
I just did a boost leak test and found a leak on the thermostat housing, it looks like a sensor with two vaccumm lines coming of the throttle body. Anyone know what it is and how to fix it?

Thermo vacuum valve. Do an emission delete and you're worries are gone.

I had the same problem, it was fine after I replaced the lines. Check the lines to see if they are hard or cracked, it gets pretty hot there so replace with new lines that are thicker and do another boost leak test. Replace all your lines while you are at it with good new ones if you have the extra cash. They are cheap at lordco like $.50/ft for good quality.

Check the couplers aswell, mine where toast so I replaced them with quality t's.

Good luck! :D
