it may sounds stupid  but could it be the  tensioner that little hydrolic piston thing that  keeps pressur on  it  ?

how loose is it?

i have seen then "look" loose sometimes if the cams get into the right phase and take up all the slack...  the belt will definalty feel loose if you feel it.  Turn the engine over a bit and its fine after that.

But definalty double check your tensioner and make sure the two little dots are around the 12'oclock postition.  thats usually where i set it up and its perfect everytime.

My two dots are past the 12 o clock mark and the belt is on the verge of jumping teeth.

And you replaced the tensioner?

this is on a 6 bolt or 7, cuz how the tensioner works on them is a bit different between the two. 7 bolts are sorta backwards on how the helix is setup on the tensioner system.
