Oil gaskets
« on: March 29, 2010, 08:13:58 pm »
So I'm replacing the oil pan this weekend an I want to pull the oil pick up off an clean the screen. So I assume there is a gasket between the oil pan an the turbo oil return line, an I assume there is a gasket for the oil pick up. Lordco has no idea what I'm talkin about, am I wrong or are there gaskets for these parts?

If it won't go, bore it.
If it still won't go, stroke it.
If it still won't go, chrome it...

Lordco can get that gasket... find a better lordco.
I've bought a few there, even had them in stock at the metrotown location.
It's just the turbo return line gasket, it's part of the turbo gasket set in their systems.
They're like expensive pokemon... gotta catch 'em all.

last time i phoned lordco and asked for turbo return line gaskets, they quoted me a whole turbo gasket kit.  Turbo to Manifold gasket, O2 housing gasket, turbo return line gaskets, it was around $35.  I went to Victoria Mitsubishi and ordered just the return line gaskets for $2 a piece.

I have used the old gasket and RTV before, holds up just fine.  or get some bulk gasket material from lordco and cut your own.
