Do you know what site you are on? Are you aware of the huge amount of info here that you COULD have used to save yourself a motor?

Well it's all hindsight now so don't beat yourself up for what happened, just learn for the future, but your car was recently aquired, when was the timing belt changed last, type of thing.  If you're mechanically inclined, pull the head off and inspect the damage, and post pictures.  If you're not, I have no idea.

When did it break??

I have heard of people breaking at idle with minimal damage.

If you were moving at a decent speed its a good assumption to say you engine is messed up.

Post pics if you can like was said before, great thing about this place is if your engine is done theres a chance to pick up another engine of someone in here.

its was replaced about 40,000 ago, it broke at about 5,000 rpm..pulled it all apart, auto-tensioner is broken..replaced auto-tensioner and belt, still no start and no compression on cranking..going to pull the head soon...what average price of getting the head rebuilt with new valves?...thinking about just getting a jdm engine??

You might pull the head to find more than just head damage if it happened at such high rpm and you got unlucky.  Take pictures of the underhead destruction if you can.

Good luck.

Here is mine,

Just tried to start the engine, AC belt was sucked to the T-belt area.  I got a rebuilt head from Magnus for $800.   I ended up replacing two pistons and other parts, too.   It might be cheper to put some o.k. used motor in if the lower end has got some damage.
