So today I went ahead with my 1gb rear end swap, And the car will be getting painted in the jan-feb months, I was thinking bottom trim black middle OEM colour, and the roof black as stock...I want to throw in a little 2 tone body colour, like alot of talons came with say, blue body, silver trim, or black body, silver trim , etc...I dont know what would go with champagne, I thot the contrast between black trim, then champagne body colour in the middle, then the roof/ spoiler etc black again... a sort of black, champagne, black effect.... I want to keep the original colour as I dont want it to look goofy under the hood or in the door jams.  Pics to come...

1g's are starting to grow on me. I'm not a big fan of the rims and low profile tires but the rest looks great  ;D

For simplicity sake, I would keep the paint in stock format

No doubt I am going to keep it MAINLY champagne...but I want to add a sorta custom look to it...just the very boddy 5 inches where the turbo allwheel drive 16v dohc is, all around that trim...and the rest champagne and the roof black how it is....

My god.. that looks like sex. (I love the 1gb ass.) As for paint, I like the idea of the stock-ish 1ga trim, but I've never seen a 1gb with that sort of paint combination. It would definately look custom... not sure if that would be the way I would do it, mainly because the trims/lines don't match up.... I'd like to see the end result. So far, Looks awesome.

either way, if i do just go from the mirrors down, all champagne its going to be OEM champange with a silver flake in it. so it will be custom in 2 ways. 1) silver metallic flake champagne paint, AND 2) be one of the few 1gb rears in CHAMPAGNE. iv never seen a 92-94 in champange, i dont think they came in that colour...

I think it'll look hawt because I've never seen a champagne 1gb aswell.

(Pretty sure you're right that they never came in that colour after '91. We were deprived.)

stick with the stock colour it will be a pricey swap for it to look good.
