MEET - Victoria to Jordan River - April 25
« on: March 14, 2010, 11:46:44 pm »
Spring is just around the corner - Time for another BCDSM meeting!

Here's what I'm thinking...

Driving around the Victoria area just isn't that great. The roads are busy and rough, as we found at the last meet.
So, why not get out of town?

The drive out to Jordan River is always a great one. The road, while not perfect, is in better condition than any of the 'fun' roads around Victoria. It offers some cool views and great curves while still being a relatively short drive at a hair over 100 km round trip.

I'd like to meet in Colwood or Langford during the last part of the morning, stop to get food (Subway/etc), drive out to Jordan River where the road meets the beach, have lunch/socialize/photos/etc, and then return to Victoria.

As for dates, I'd like to look at April. Just throwing it out there, but April 25?
Date is set. April 25, it is!

Schedule:

11:30am - Meet at the Spencer Road Subway/Shell Station. Grab lunch to go.
12:00 - Depart through Langford to Sooke Rd & head to Jordan River.
This should put us at Jordan River for approximately 1:00. Stop for lunch. At this point we can:
-Return to Victoria and part ways.
-Continue through the Renfrew Loop to Cowichan
-Return to Cam's house for a few games of pool and some BS.

04/18/10 - Edited last details.

Those dates are in the midst of my final exams so I am tentatively out.  :-\ However I assume they are not set in stone.

If this is exam time, it'd be silly to have it then.
Dates are tenative... What works for those of you in school?

Edit: Vote in the poll, guys!

Bump

Is there any serious interest in a Spring Meet? Of any sort?

April 25 would be good, too.
I had an autocross on my calender for then but I think it's been moved to another weekend.
