those ebay kits are for the most part, cheap Chinese shit that I wouldn't touch with a really long pole.  There are some half decent kits out there as well,  but they are not super cheap.   I would just order a OEM headgasket, Good quality sealsn (cams, crank, oil pump, front balance shaft, crank seal), and valve cover gaskets (felpro or KP or OEM), timing belt/water pump kit (gates/mitsu/GMB components/pump), pistons rings (NPR are good) , main and rod bearings (KING bearings are good) all separately.  I would also only recommend using OEM timing hydraulic tensioner and also OEM oil pump/front cover and rear main seal.

Okay..  ok rings and bearings are good quality.... but I probably wouldn't trust the front cover and oil pump and the pistons are probably cheapo stuff.   Same with the water pump.   A good new oem front cover will cost the amount of that kit just by itself.

Also that kits for a 2g.  Not 1g

Ya I got a water pump kit off eBay for my Mazda and the thing crapped out at 30,000km , daily driving . No shaft play no leaks . Just the bearing started to make a shit ton of noise
