oil filter/valve tick

Ever since I've changed from using K&N oil filter to the puralator pure 1 brand, I've noticed more valve tick that last longer but eventually disappears. When I've used the K&N filter, I would never get valve tick. Both times I've used Mobil 1 Synthetic. Anyone experience a similar problem??
